Recent trends towards privacy‐preservation in Internet of Things, its challenges and future directions

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a self-configuring, intelligent system in which autonomous things connect to the and communicate with each other. As ‘things’ are autonomous, it may raise privacy concerns. In this study, authors describe background IoT systems security measures, including (a) approaches preserving IoT-based systems, (b) existing solutions, (c) recommending models for different layers applications. Based on results our clear that new methods such as Blockchain, Machine Learning, Data Minimisation, Encryption can greatly impact issues ensure privacy. Moreover, makes sense users protect their personal information easier if there fewer data collect, store, share by smart devices. Thus, study proposes machine learning-based minimisation method that, these networks, be very beneficial privacy-preserving.
